Research into Hortiplus

Groenten en Fruit 36(23): 32-33

Hortiplus glass, for greenhouse glazing, has a thin coating of metal oxide on the outside. Data from various European research centres are tabulated on heat and light transmission. They show that when Hortiplus is compared with ordinary single glass, the average heat saving is 20-25%, ranging from 2% in rainy or windy weather to 40% when the sky is clear.
