Research into chemical weed control in rice grown with intermittent irrigation

Results are given of a series of weed control trials in intermittently irrigated rice in 1972, 1975, 1976 and 1977; intermittent irrigation is an attempt to accommodate the water requirements of rice growing to the increasing problems of water supply in Italy. Preliminary trials in 1972 and 1975 showed the benefits of a programme consisting of pre-sowing applications followed by post-em. treatments.
