Research into integrated weed control in lucerne with herbicides based on asulam, alachlor, dinoseb-acetate, EPTC, metolachlor, EPTC + R 25788 and fluazifop-butyl

Research into integrated weed control in lucerne with herbicides based on asulam, alachlor, dinoseb-acetate, EPTC, metolachlor, EPTC + R 25788 and fluazifop-butyl

Compte Rendu de la 11e Conference du COLUMA (Tome 2): 338-346

Results of experiments from 1975 to 1981 in Romania are summarized. In first-year lucerne, EPTC at 4.32 or EPTC + R 25 788 (N,N-diallyl-2,2-dichloroacetamide) at 5.04 kg a.i./ha, alachlor at 2.4 kg/ha and metolachlor at 2.5 kg/ha, all incorporated pre-sowing controlled Setaria spp., Echinochloa crus-galli and other grasses; broad-leaved weeds such as Sinapis arvensis, Raphanus raphanistrum and Chenopodium album could then be controlled by dinoseb acetate at 2.8 kg/ha post-em.
