Research on Septoria leaf blotch: recent advances

Research on Septoria leaf blotch: recent advances

EPPO Bulletin 11(2): 53-57

Work on Mycosphaerella graminicola is reviewed with particular reference to epidemiology and control. The effect of infected wheat straw, infected wheat seeds and alternative hosts on the initiation of epidemics is discussed. Reference is made to the effect of plant stature on the vertical progress of the disease. The role of fungicide protection is also discussed.
