Research on damage of potatoes and onions

Research on damage of potatoes and onions

Report of Hokkaido Prefectural Agricultural Experiment Stations (33): 95

Damage by impact when dropping potato tubers was investigated and it was shown that damage was more likely in large than in small tubers. The possibility of damage was high when large tubers hit small tubers as the area of contact became small. Damage was more likely in early-harvested than in late-harvested tubers.
