Research on mineral nutrition of poplar by means of foliar analysis (sampling technique)

A series of leaf samplings was made during the growing season on Populus 'I-214' trees in the fifth year after transplanting. Variations in nutrient content of the leaves were determined in relation to position of leaves on the branch (long-shoot and short-shoot leaves) and date of sampling.
