In a trial of 5 fodder rape in 1972, DM yields ranged from 3.4 t/ha in Silona to 5.35 t/ha in Emerald. In 1974, DM yields of 4 marrow-stem kale ranged from 5.75 t/ha in Maris Kestrel to 6.39 t/ha in Veteran and those of fodder rape from 4.78 t/ha in Sv. 01264 to 9.04 t/ha in Emerald. In 1975, seed yield of oilseed rape Zephyr fell from 2.05 to 0.33 t/ha as sowing was delayed from 15 Jan. to 17 March; the crop sown on 2 April yielded no seed.
