Research on spraying against rosy apple aphid

Research on spraying against rosy apple aphid

Obstbau Weinbau 17(4): 125-127

In 1978 Granny Smith apple trees on MM.106 rootstocks and in 1979 Gravensteiner apple trees on M.9 rootstocks were treated against Dysaphis plantaginea with various insecticides. With both cvs, Pirimor (pirimicarb), Croneton (ethiofencarb), and Metasystox (demeton-methyl) gave good results while Drawin (butocarboxim) and Tandor (butocarboxim + bromophos) were less effective.
