Research on the fertilization of peach orchards on sand

Palmette trained peach trees on sandy soil, planted at 400 trees/ha and receiving irrigation, were given N, P2O5 and K2O at rates of up to 400:320:400 kg/ha in a trial involving 20 treatments. Data are tabulated on growth, leaf, bud and shoot catalase activity, fruit yield and soil composition. The highest yields of 31 t and 28 t/ha were obtained in response to the treatments 100:0:100 and 200:80:100, respectively.
