Research on the micro-grafting technology in citrus

Micro-grafting in relation to eventual production of virus-free plants was assessed, using simple techniques. Instead of agar, a normal soil/sand substrate was used to germinate Troyer citrange and Poncirus trifoliata rootstock seeds. Grafting was made in aseptic conditions, about 13-14 days after sowing, with 0.2 to 0.4 mm meristematic shoot apices.
