Research on the nitrogen and carbon content of substrate and fungus and on the composition of free amino acids in mycelium and fruiting bodies of Lentinus edodes

Research on the nitrogen and carbon content of substrate and fungus and on the composition of free amino acids in mycelium and fruiting bodies of Lentinus edodes

Zentralblatt fur Bakteriologie, Parasitenkunde, Infektionskrankheiten und Hygiene 135(4): 367-373

The good growth of Lentinus edodes on a mixture of equal parts of sugarbeet molasses and sawdust was ascribed to the C/N ratio of the mixture, which was 32:1. The C/N ratios in stalks, caps and gills were 23:1, 18:1 and 9.6:1, respectively.
