Residues of aldicarb applied for control of scale in sugarcane

Residues of aldicarb applied for control of scale in sugarcane

Indian Journal of Plant Protection 1981; 8(2): 170-171

The residues in sugar-cane of soil applications of aldicarb for the control of Melanaspis glomerata (Green) in Andhra Pradesh, India, were determined in the laboratory, and it was found that even at the high rate of 3 kg a.i./ha the compound could be applied as late as 3 months before harvest without health hazards to consumers of cane or products of cane from treated areas.
