Resistance in pea against powdery mildew

Resistance in pea against powdery mildew

Indian Phytopathology 32(4): 571-574

Analysis of (1) F1 and F2 data from reciprocal crosses between Bonneville, with susceptibility to Erysiphe polygoni, and seven resistant varieties and (2) F2 data from crosses between the resistant varieties revealed that resistance was governed by a recessive gene in P185, 6583, 6587, T10 and T56 and by two recessive genes in P388 and 6588. One of the genes in P388 and 6588 appeared to be the same as the gene in the other five varieties.
