Resistance in the pecan leaf scorch mite, Eotetranychus hicoriae (McGregor) (Acari: Tetranychidae): implications in pecan pest management

Laboratory and field experiments were carried out in Louisiana in 1979-80 on the development of pesticide resistance in populations of the pecan pest Eotetranychus hicoriae (McG.). The results indicated that mite populations from 3 orchards near Monroe had developed resistance to the broad-spectrum organophosphate pesticides currently registered for use on pecan.
