On a synthetic aga medium with capsidiol at 10 mg/l mycelial growth rate was reduced on av. to 50%. Capsidiol had a fungistatic activity, apparently related to the quantity of inoculum confronting it. Sensitivity to capsidiol was not, however, a decisive factor in differences in pathogenicity between strs. At 200 mg/l capsidiol pectinase activity could be affected, depending on the isolate, but reduction in activity did not seem to be related to lower pathogenicity.
