Resistance of cabbage species of limited distribution to bacterial diseases

The reaction was studied of 87 specimens of red and Savoy cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts and kohlrabi to natural infection by Xanthomonas campestris, Erwinia carotovora and E. aroideae (E. carotovora ssp. carotovora) in the field. Complex resistance to all was found in Amager Winter (red cabbage, Denmark), Early Green Yellow Langendijker (Savoy, Holland), Catskill (Brussels sprouts, Canada) and the kale cvs. Niedriger Gruner Moosgekrauster (German Democratic Republic) and Krasnaya vysokaya.
