Resistance of lambs to various components of the microclimate

Resistance of lambs to various components of the microclimate

Veterinariya, Moscow, USSR (7): 19-20

Five groups of 10 lambs from a flock of 5000 Romanov ewes were kept in the lambing section (mean temp. 15 deg C) until 5 days old. Group I lambs were then kept with their dams at -7 deg , group II at +5 deg C (ranges -4 to -10 and +2 to 9 deg C), and group III at +15 deg C (mean temperatures). Other conditions of feeding and maintenance were identical.
