Of 255 Soviet and foreign varieties studied during 1974-77, Avyelles, Halton 502, Kaszaya, Poppelsdorfer and Portugalska were the best of those resistant to Septoria glycines, Bicenska Brunatna Novi Sad br7, Elibe Hort Kesi 283, Lootea, Vilenska Cierna Brilmager Hort and Black Small were resistant to Ascochyta, and Amur 314, Amur 350, Amur 345, Amur 354, Came I, Pannonia 10, Kitaminagaha and Koribatakiva were the best of those resistant to Peronospora manshurica.
