Response of soybean lines and cultivars in Brazil to root-knot nematodes. Meloidogyne incognita and Meloidogyne javanica

Response of soybean lines and cultivars in Brazil to root-knot nematodes. Meloidogyne incognita and Meloidogyne javanica

Nematropica 9(2): 101-102

In field experiments 107 lines and 25 cultivars of soybean were evaluated for resistance to Meloidogyne javanica and M. incognita. The following cultivars were classified as very resistant to M. incognita; Bienville, Bragg, Coker's 4505, Hale-7, Hampton, Hardee, Hill, IAS-1, IAS-2, IAS-3, IAS-4, IAS-5, Jackson, Louisana and Parana. Of these, all were susceptible to M. javanica except Bragg and IAS-1. Two of the lines, JC5086 and JC5087, were also resistant to both species.
