Cuttings from Berberis thunbergii, B. thunbergii Atropurpurea, Ligustrum obtusifolium var. regelianum and L. X vicaryi stock plants grown at 37, 53, 70 or 100% full sunlight, were treated with 0, 0.1, 0.3 or 0.8% IBA and rooted in 1:2:2 soil:peat:perlite medium under intermittent mist. Optimum rooting of Berberis cuttings resulted when stock plants were grown at 70% light, with 37% light being the next most successful.
