Four species of mosquitoes representing the Tonga group of the complex of Aedes scutellaris (Wlk.) (A. cooki Belkin, A. kesseli Huang & Hitchcock, A. tongae tabu Ramalingam & Belkin and an undescribed species of Aedes) were tested for their susceptibility to infection with Brugia malayi and B. pahangi in the laboratory in the USA. All tested strains were genetically 100% susceptible to infection by both microfilariae.
