The amino acids content of grain of winter wheat treated with herbicides

The amino acids content of grain of winter wheat treated with herbicides

Bromatologia i Chemia Toksykologiczna 13(1): 7-12

In trials in 1976/77 with winter wheat Grana and Jana, herbicides were applied at 5 litres ha pre-em., early post-em. and at the end of tillering; triazine (including simazine), urea and phenoxy derivative herbicides were used. In most cases, herbicides reduced the total amino acid content of the grain regardless of the total N content.
