Zeitschrift fuer Angewandte Zoologie 671: 51-77

The scorpions of Zimbabwe belong to two families, the Scorpionidae and the Buthidae. There are 4 genera of Buthidae present, and keys are given to the 2 families and 4 genera (Lychas, Uroplectes, Parabuthus and Buthotus). The species of these 4 genera are revised, and check lists and keys are given permitting their identification. A distribution map is provided for each species. Several species are of medical importance.
