The effects of ammonium sulphate, surfactants and spray volume on the activity of glyphosate on Cyperus rotundus

The effect of several wetters and ammonium sulphate on the activity of glyphosate, applied in various spray vols. to Cyperus rotundus, was studied. The addition of ammonium sulphate 5% wt/vol. increased the activity of glyphosate at 0.33-1 kg/ha. Ammonium sulphate activated glyphosate in spray vols. of 26-480 litres/ha. Wetters generally increased the effectiveness of glyphosate, except Agral 1% which was antagonistic.
