The humus balance of light loamy dernopodzolic soil and yields of crops grown with long-term soil tillage to different depths and fertilizers

Izvestiya Timiryazevskoi Sel' skokhozyaistvennoi Akademii (4): 13-18

Results of an experiment started in 1955 on a loamy dernopodzolic soil in the Moscow region showed that values for the mineralization of humus and the biological activities of soil were higher with ploughing to a depth of 40 cm than with ordinary ploughing to depth of 25 cm.
