From the 1976 nutrition survey of the German Nutrition Society in the German Federal Republic it is calculated for the age groups 7-9, 15-18, 36-50 and more than or equal to 60 yr resp. that milk and dairy products contributed 17.5, 13.5, 11.9 and 14.9% of total energy intake; 42, 38, 38 and 46% of fat intake; 24, 18, 15 and 17% of protein intake; 59, 51, 49 and 63% of Ca intake; and 42, 26, 19 and 34% of riboflavin intake.
