The max. rate of increase in (a) glycollate oxidase activity in etiolated rye seedlings was observed 6-8 h after exposing them to light; during this period the rate of (b) chlorophyll formation was slow. A clear correlation between (a) and (b) was observed 24-30 h after exposing seedlings to light.
