Abstract
B deficiency promoted quinone formation from the exogenous polyphenols in sunflower homogenates. The physiological role of B is discussed in terms of its ability to prevent dicotyledonous (sunflower) and some monocotyledonous plants from accumulating quinone products of phenol oxidation.
