For skins obtained from Stavropol, North Caucasus Mutton Wool X Stavropol, Latvian Darkheaded X Stavropol, and Romney Marsh X Stavropol wethers aged 6-7 months (5 per type), area averaged 9130, 8690, 8240 and 9320 cm2 resp., weight 4770, 4960, 5220 and 5640 g, thickness 2138, 2137, 2123 and 2108 mu m, wool follicle density/cm2 6111, 4666, 4811 and 4457, and the insulating capacity coefficient of processed skins 0.466, 0.453, 0.473 and 0.412.
