The role of Suillus grevillei in control of the damping off of Pinus tabulaeformis seedlings

In greenhouse and field trials in Beijing (Peking) in 1978-80, the damping off of P. tabulaeformis seedlings was caused by Rhizoctonia sp. The infection rate of young seedlings in wooden trays was 73% in controls, 53-60% in nursery soil and 38% in forest soil inoculated with S. grevillei.
