Tolerance of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars to aluminium and manganese. V. Influence of aluminium and manganese and degree of tolerance to each element on Ca uptake

Tolerance of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars to aluminium and manganese. V. Influence of aluminium and manganese and degree of tolerance to each element on Ca uptake

Anais da Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz" 37(2): 865-894

Excised seedling roots of wheat Sonora 63C, Yecora and IAS 63 which were susceptible to, moderately tolerant and tolerant of Al, resp., and CNT1, Sonora 63C and IAS 55 which were susceptible, moderately tolerant and tolerant of Mn, resp., were placed in a sol. of 45Ca- calcium chloride in the range 5 X 10-6 to 2.56 X 10-3M and studied using Michaelis-Menten kinetics. Aluminium and manganese chloride sol. were 10-4M.
