Michaelis-Menten kinetics were used to study P uptake in excised seedling roots of wheat suseptible or tolerant of Al and/or Mn in sol. of 32P-potassium dehydrogen phosphate ranging from 10-6 to 10-4M. Sol. of aluminium and manganese chloride were 10-4M. P uptake occurred throughout the sol. conc. range and was stimulated more by Al than Mn.
