Tomatoes in unheated plastic houses

Tomatoes in unheated plastic houses

Deutscher Gartenbau 36(34): 1389-1391

The performance of 11 tomato cvs in unheated plastic houses and the effects of drip irrigation and/or plastic mulch were investigated over 2 seasons. Luca, Cintra and Lucy gave the earliest marketable crops. The highest total yields in September were produced by Pyros (10.6 kg/m2) and Suprella (10.15 kg/m2). Yields were considerably increased by drip irrigation, particularly when combined with plastic mulch.
