Two years field experience with fluazifop-butyl for grass weed control in arable row crops

Results are given of trials in the UK, Holland and France with fluazifop-butyl in sugar-beet, potato, autumn-sown rape and vegetable crops. In sugar-beet, fluazifop-butyl at 0.25 to 0.5 kg/ha at the 2- to 10-leaf stage of the crop selectively controlled Alopecurus myosuroides, volunteer barley, Avena fatua, Lolium perenne and Echinochloa crus-galli 4 weeks after spraying. It can be used safely in spraying programmes at a wide range of growth stages.
