Use of lentogenic Newcastle disease virus strain 022 TW for aerosol immunization of chicks

Use of lentogenic Newcastle disease virus strain 022 TW for aerosol immunization of chicks

Zeszyty Naukowe Akademii Rolniczej we Wroclawiu, Weterynaria 37(127): 33-50

The size of aerosol particles varied between 3 and 150 mu but 60% were within 3-60 mu. Exposure to strain 022 TW at 106.5 EID50/ml failed to induce adequate immunity in 14-day-old chicks as shown by falling HI titres and 50% mortality following challenge. LaSota strain administered in the same way produced full immunity to challenge lasting at least 22 weeks.
