Grassland established in 1965 on sedge peat soil (12.8% ash) was ploughed and rotavated in 1971-3 and resown in Aug. with an 11-component seeds mixture in which meadow fescue, birdsfoot trefoil, timothy and Poa pratensis were the main components.
