Variability and correlation studies in radish (Raphanus sativus L.)

Among 33 varieties, genetic variation was apparent for most of the characters examined. High phenotypic and genotypic coefficients of variation were found for foliage weight, root weight, percentage forked roots, percentage cracked roots and yield/plant. High heritability and genetic advance estimates were found for foliage weight, yield/plant and root length. Correlation and path coefficients were determined for yield and various morphological characters and yield components.
