Variability and heritability of some economically useful characters in winter wheat varieties

Variability and heritability of some economically useful characters in winter wheat varieties

4 i S"ezd genetikov i selektsionerov Ukrainy, Odessa, 1981 Tez dokl, 3: 30-32

Incomplete reciprocal diallel crosses involving Mironovskaya Yubileinaya Albidum 114, Przheval'sk, Felix and Zh48-11IZR revealed variability scores of 1.1-17.3% for winter hardiness in the F1 and 4.6-63.1% in the F2. Heritability was fairly low for winter hardiness, number of grains per ear and grain yield, except in a few crosses in which heritability of winter hardiness was 0.62-0.87.
