Variability as induced through gamma rays and ethylmethane sulphonate in some genotypes of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)

Seeds of four parental cultivars, their F1 hybrids and the F2 were treated with 8 or 15 kR of gamma rays or 0.1% or 0.25% concentrations of ethyl methanesulphonate. All M1s showed a reduction in height, and those from the parental cultivars showed an increase in early yield following treatment with 8 kR.
