Variability for response to late planting in oats

Variability for response to late planting in oats

Dissertation Abstracts International, B 41(3): 766B-767B

Two populations of unselected experimental lines were sown on four occasions. Grain yields were lower from the three late sowings than from the first sowing date. There was a significant genotype X treatment interaction for bundle weight, grain yield, harvest index, straw yield and vegetative growth duration in both populations and for grain number and vegetative growth rate in the population derived from the introgression of Avena sterilis into A. sativa.
