The fractional composition of glutenins in grains of wheat Kavkaz (low quality) and mutant Luch (high quality) grown under different environmental conditions in 1976-7 was studied. The variability in total glutenin contents was high in Kavkaz; variation was high in the urea-soluble fraction, and the sodium dodecyl sulphate-soluble fraction was relatively stable.
