Variability in selected varieties of cowpea Vigna unguiculata Walp

Agricultural Research Journal of Kerala 18(1): 94-97

Data were recorded for ten polygenic characters from eight varieties grown in the summer (March-June) of 1979. Analysis of variance showed highly significant differences between varieties for all characters. Variation in varietal mean was reasonably large for number of days to first harvest, internode length, weight of ten pods, seed number per pod, pod number per plant and yield per plot.
