Variable penetrance and expressivity of grassy tillers, gt

Variable penetrance and expressivity of grassy tillers, gt

Maize Genetics Cooperation News Letter (56): 77-78

The grassy tiller phenotype in maize varied among and within F2 populations from crosses between a B37 line homozygous for grassy tillers (gtgt) as male and the inbred lines Oh43, Oh51A, R53, W64A, W117, W153R and W18213N. All crosses, except Oh43 X B37, deviated significantly from a 3:1 ratio. Crosses with W117, W64A and W153R had significant heterogeneity chi 2 values.
