In 2 kleingrass populations, Selection 75 and a recent introduction from South Africa, individual inflorescences were enclosed in seed traps and all shattered seed was collected at intervals during the period of seed production. 49 days after the beginning of flowering, 95% of the seeds of Selection 75 had been released compared with 60% in the South African introduction.
