When hybrids from diallel crosses were studied under five irrigation regimes, those from crosses of the drought-resistant lines K271, yur461/1, Ky112 and oh56 generally gave a higher grain yield on arid and irrigated soils than those from drought-susceptible lines such as MS211, Hll90, W24 and B20.
