Variation in constituents of maize hybrids (whole plants) in different phases of plant development



Novenytermeles 31(2): 109-117



Eight hybrids belonging to different maturity groups were analysed at each of five stages from tasselling to full ripeness. Protein percentage, digestible crude protein percentage, green and dry matter yield per plot, starch equivelent and protein yield all varied according to developmental stage and all except starch equivalent varied according to variety.
