Variation in length of the mouthparts of Bombus consobrinus in Finnish Scandinavia: an example of adaptation to Aconitum septentrionale

In Finland A. septentrionale occurs only in the south-east (Karelia). The only morphological difference observed between B. consobrinus there and in peninsular Scandinavia is that the proboscis is longer in the bees of the peninsula, where the flowers of A. septentrionale are longer and narrower than in Karelia.
