Variation in population density of some micro-organisms in a dark red latosol, sandy phase, treated with glucose

Variation in population density of some micro-organisms in a dark red latosol, sandy phase, treated with glucose

Cientifica 8(1/2): 77-88

The addition of glucose (0.1% w/w) to a red latosol followed by incubation for 5 weeks in the laboratory resulted in an increase in the numbers of Azotobacter, total aerobic bacteria, aerobic spore forming bacteria and fungi in the soil.
