Variation in protein content of peas under Finnish conditions

Variation in protein content of peas under Finnish conditions

Journal of the Scientific Agricultural Society of Finland 53(4): 228-238

In trials in 1975-1980 at two localities involving 17 varieties and lines, protein content ranged from 23.1% to 27.5% and protein yield from 650 kg/ha to 1070 kg/ha. The highest protein yield was from Proco, which was the earliest and had the lowest protein content. High protein content was in general correlated positively with late maturity and with height.
