Variation in resistance to canker of Italian cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) and related species

The cypress: diseases and protection: Il Cipresso: malattie e difesa: 185-193

A programme of breeding resistant Italian cypress was started in Italy in 1974. By means of artificial inoculation with Coryneum cardinale, some differences in susceptibility of tne species were highlighted. Two percent of the artificially inoculated cypresses recovered completely from the established cankers.
